2 of 5 Cool Tech Tools for Video

Vialogues is a cool tool by EdLab at Teachers College, Columbia University that allows viewers to leave time-stamped comments on the video and answer poll questions. Usually, when you send your students off to watch a video at home, they are doing it in isolation. With this tool, they can leave comments in a communal space and respond to others comments. As the creator of the vialogue, you can create multiple choice or check all that apply questions. Note- you get the answers as a summary of responses, not by individual responder. It is a poll, not a quiz.

You can upload your own video or grab a link from YouTube. You can then embed your vialogue into Moodle or send students a link. Students will have to get a free EdLab account to participate.

Give it a try and participate in my vialogue below!
